Small talk with Michael Dasilva

What on-track achievements are you most proud of this year?

MD : I believe that my on track achievement this year was without a doubt my holeshot at the Ulverton Mx National

How special does it feel to finally get a holeshot against all the top guys at a major event like Ulverton?

MD: In terms of how special it feels, It took me back to some of the best memories of my racing career. All of my emotions rushing through my body until i came to the realization of the fact that i actually just got the holeshot in the pro 450 class at the national. therefore it felt great!

You have announced that you will ride snowcross this year. What is your motivation in competing in a new sport?

MD:I believe my motivation is simply the drive that i have to succeed in multiple sports. Snowcross is something i never really had the chance to do but with this opportunity i have been given, I simply could not pass it up.

Is this something you had in mind for a long time?

MD: It is not something I had in mind until the offer to race came up.

What class are you going to race in?

MD: I will be racing the sport class

Are you going to race the full series?

MD: I plan on racing as many as I can especially the closer ones like Valcourt.

Do you have any support or it’s simply for fun?

MD: I do not have any sponsors other than my motocross sponsors from in the summer. These, however, do not automatically transfer over to snowcross as not all of them provide things that a snowcross rider needs to compete. However so far Motovan has stepped up to help me out.

Last weekend you had your annual fund raising night for your Motocross season. What are your plans for 2016 MX season?

MD: The plans for 2016 are undetermined yet, however, no matter the class I race I will be competing in all 10 of the rockstar energy drink motocross nationals.

What are your goals this year?

MD:My goals are not set in stone for the 2016 season, instead, I am going to come into the 2016 season swinging and hope for the best.

Who’s your biggest rival out there?

MD: I don't know who my biggest rival is on the circuit. Every guy out there is fast so its hard to pick one certain guy to be my rival.

What do you think about Peick vs Freise at A1? Any prediction for next Supercross?

MD:I honestly think Friese had it coming. You do not take out Weston Peick twice in one night and expect no retaliation. Peick is a big man and can definitely defend himself, however, he should have taken his anger out on friese on the track and not on his head. I think that Anderson is fast and all, however, it is the first round and the first round is always filled with surprises. therefore, i think Trey will gather himself up and take home the win in San Diego

Thank’s mike always a pleasure talking to you.
