2016 Yz250

London Ontario

I've been riding dirt bikes since the age of 9 and I started racing at 13. My dad used to race when he was young in the 70s. He quit in his late 20s but bought a crf250 when he turned 40 and bought my brother and I a crf70 to share. I immediately fell in love and started asking to go riding everyday after school. My brother never got into it - which meant I got the bike to myself. Eventually I convinced my dad to buy me a yz125 when I was 14 and that's when I really fell in love with the sport.

I have so many favorite tracks honestly it's hard to pick one! Gopher Dunes is my home track so I'm a little biased on that one. I'm a sand lover and that track is bottomless sand. Baja Acres is a close second it flows so good and is always an amazing time no matter what. This year I'm really loving motopark as well. I'm getting much more comfortable with jumping on this new bike and motopark is the perfect track because it had a good variety of safe and doable jumps. The list could go on for a while.

I race the Canadian Women's Nationals, Women's A, MX2 junior and College Boy in Canada. In the US I race Women's 14+ and 250C.

A few of my goals for this year are to place in the top 10 in the Canadian Women's Nationals. I've been training my ass off and I really believe I can make it happen this year. I'd like to continue racing in the boys classes as well to increase my aggressiveness and my stamina. I'd like to get more comfortable with jumping as well. That's one thing that really holds me back and keeps me from staying with the top girls.

I'm really not the best at giving advice but I do encourage all girls that are interested in motocross to try it. It's such an amazing community to be apart of.

I would like to thank my sponsors Yamaha Canada, Hully Gully, Strikt Gear, Blue-con Construction, Xtreme Toys, TCD Suspension, Dragon Motorsports, Novik Gloves, Sandbox Kings, Mika Metals, Acerbis USA, Tim Metcalfe Plumbing and Jimmy Weinert Training facility.
